Sweating for Athletic Use
The type of sessions that athletes use are different than the detox sessions. For muscles that are filled up with lactic acid from a heavy workout or a long run, the muscles are sore. The heat in this type of session are usually hotter than the detox sessions that are back to back. The goal is not to get the core too hot but the muscles that are near the surface of the body or joints that need to get heat to get the blood flow going. Rarely do people drink hot liquids during athletic infrared sauna sessions. The fluence is super important to delivering heat to the muscles in need since the traditional sauna uses high heat, the infrared sauna must have enough fluence to penetrate deep into the body to heat up the muscles and loosen up the lactic acid.
Please let me know on my sauna quiz if you are using the infrared sauna for athletic use only.
