Sauna Fluence
Some infrared saunas have higher fluence than others. Certain people prefer lower fluence and others, that can handle a faster session, prefer higher fluence. Low energy people usually prefer the the sessions that take longer to sweat. You can sweat 1 quart of sweat in 45 minutes one one brand of sauna or sweat the same amount of sweat faster in another brand of sauna. Both are good types but most people that get in both types always choose one or the other. I will not sell a high fluence sauna to someone that I know will need to do a slower detox and not sweat like a pig too fast.

A average powerful sauna can penetrate around 1.5 to 1.75 inches deep under skin. The more fluence it has, the more of the rays going under the skin. It is not just the number of heaters but the fluence of them. Also the distance between the heater to the body can dissipate the fluence of the infrared heat.

Some saunas have more square inches of heaters than others but some have more carbon element and allow more electricity to flow through the carbon sheets.

NOTE: There are different activations of carbon. You can buy activated carbon that has been positively charged or carbon that has not been activated.

More important than the type of carbon or the amount of it is always going to be the surface area. Many saunas have a higher surface coverage and others have less. Note that some of the lesser carbon surface area saunas can have higher fluence. Many of the 3rd generation saunas have 2 carbon heaters back to back. The older styles only have one heater. Having a dual layer from 2 separate sauna panels can have higher fluence. The back to back panels were only intended to block EMF. (see my video on my Sauna Generation page to see how it was done). Its the most innovative way to block 100% of the EMF.

The range of sauna heater surface area can range from 1000 to 7000 square inches with the tent saunas being the lowest, dome second, and wooden saunas the highest.
Know what to expect from saunas with heater surface areas that are:
1000 to 2000 square inches
2000 to 3000 square inches
3000 to 4000 square inches
4000 to 5000 square inches
6000 to 7000 square inches

5 Strength Grades of saunas, 5 types of sweaters
How to choose the right sauna based on how you sweat.
Know what type of sweater you are before even trying to choose a sauna type.

Sweat Types:
Type 1: Very Hydophillic -Sweats easily, very healthy, not toxic
Type 2: HydroPhobic, hasn't sweated in a long time, hard to sweat
Type 3: Lymphatic issues, Poor circulation, Hydrophobic
Type 4: Not Toxic but Overweight, wants to sweat profusely
Type 5: Very Toxic, needing to detox and preserve energy

Sauna Types:
LEVEL 1: Mostly Near infrared, some medium, very little FIR
(high fluence of near and medium infrared but lower detoxing)
LEVEL 2:  A medium fluence of the infrared spectrum
LEVEL 3: A high fluence of near and mid and medium fluence of FIR
LEVEL 4:  High FIR, High medium and medium near infrared
LEVEL 5: High Far infrared Spectrum, High fluence, Med mid & low near infrared.

About 50% of the people that call me say they want to detox as their primary reason for buying an infrared sauna. Level 5 can detox the best but if the body can't handle such as high detox a Level 4 or Level 3 sauna might be more appropriate. A level 3 is the most recommended for someone that needs to detox that isn't doing any other protocols. A Level 5 sauna which is the strongest and has the widest far infrared spectrum and high toxin pulling power, is not recommended if the body can't handle it.
Everyone wants you to buy their sauna and often say they have the best. It might be the best for certain people but with someone who needs to detox but may or might not be able to handle the Far infrared strength, heaters in one sauna can be great for one person but not for another.

Those that need to detox, please allow 30 minutes to discuss the best sauna out of all the brands I have reviewed. We provide a full service consultation before recommending a sauna brand. I have trained my employees with everything I know to make super accurate recommendations and they can tell you why they recommend one type over another.
