The sauna tents are popular for those that want to just burn calories to lose weight or need just enough fluence to get the body to start sweating but for people that don't like the super high temperatures of standard saunas.

The sauna tents will raise the core body temperature and they are mainly medium and near infrared with small amounts of the far infrared spectrum. They range from 200 to 400 dollars. The higher wattage models usually have more fluence and are more expensive. I watch out for models that have a 90 day warranty. I even watch out more when they have a 1 year or 2 year warranty. Why? Because the manufacture in China only puts a 90 day warranty on it. The dealer or importer tacks on a longer warranty. The longer warranty doesn't mean its a better sauna. I could put on a 5 year warranty and charge double. I have also seen ones sell for 400 with the same specs as a 200 dollar tent. They usually will replace it no matter what the reason it stopped working within their 1 or 2 year warranty because you already paid double in the initial price of the sauna tent. There are only a few sauna tents that I think are worth buying but they may or may not be the right sauna for the needs of someone.

If someone is trying to do a heavy, heavy detox, that is a different story but for general sweating or warming up after a workout, any heat is good. The more intense, high fluence sauna sessions is what most people prefer but they cost a lot more to get this fluence. After selling sauna for so long, the only way really for someone who has a budget or cannot afford a high fluence wooden sauna is to buy a demo or scratch and dent. The manufactures get saunas, even the 2000 dollar sauna domes that has a crack in it that is pretty noticeable but it still works just as good as a non factory second. The importers I've talked to can't just return it back as it costs a lot of send it back if not on an ocean container, maybe even more than the sauna is worth.

I do have access to these as most importers selling saunas don't want to volunteer that they have damaged saunas. A Hastens bed store had their demo show room beds at 60% off. One of the beds costed $49,500 dollars. One of someones dogs peed on mattress and they were giving another 25% off the price and it was on sale for 15,000. Thats 75% off retail. I do realize that the warranty importers give is also what makes the sauna cost more. By the way, some companies I know sell a super quality sauna without any warranty or with a warranty option. The cost is significantly lower without their warranty.

Back to the sauna tents, they really as far as I have learned from people that have used them, just pullthe water based sweat, not so much the oily sebaceous sweat that the toxins leach out in.

Most people that buy these just want to ease muscle pain and get better skin (skin pores). Everyone asks me if it will help them lose weight. There is no doubt that it does help the body burn calories by raising the core body temperature but the pulling power of the high fluence far infrared is what it usually lacks.
